FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GOSHEN, Ind.—New World Arts is planning auditions for their productions of “Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me” and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” for Saturday, Feb. 6.

Auditions for “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” are from noon to 2 p.m., while auditions for “Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me” will be from 2 to 3 p.m.

“Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me” is the story of an Irishman, Englishman and American who are taken hostage in Lebanon. The men begin to lose their rationality as they struggle for survival, leading to bizarre conversation and an odd lightness to their situation. Rehearsals will begin mid-February. Performances will be April 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. New World Arts also plans to present this show at Indiana Community Theatre League’s State Festival, Friday and Saturday, March 26 to 27 in Muncie, Ind.
If you are unable to attend the scheduled audition time, call this show’s director, Geoffrey Owens, at geoffreymo@gmail.com.

“Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” is Tennessee Williams’ classic story of a Southern family brought together to celebrate “Big Daddy’s” birthday, but the evening grows gloomy as each family member must deal with their unhappy circumstances. Rehearsals will begin mid-March. Performances will be April 30, May 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 8 p.m.
If you are unable to attend the scheduled audition time, call this show’s director, Adrienne Nesbit, at 574-238-5572.

New World Arts is located at 211 South Main Street, Goshen, IN 46526. Parking and the entrance are located off of 3rd. St.

New World Arts is the only all-volunteer theater in Northern Indiana dedicated to bringing you professional quality productions while relying on the collaborative creativity of our entire community. Visit www.newworldarts.org for more information, or contact Marlys Weaver at marlysew@goshen.edu.
