Binde Booth
The week of New World Arts’ opening show Marisol, our lighting board, which allows us to program and control the lighting for our theatrical productions, stopped working. After several attempts to try to get it working, we had to face the reality that the board was beyond repair.
We also suffered another loss this year as of one of our closest friends and volunteers Deanne Binde passed away. As we rebuild our booth with generous donations from our community, we looked forward to unveiling it at our upcoming 2009 Season Launch party as the Binde Booth, dedicated to the work of Deanne Binde and volunteers like her who have made New World Arts a viable and invigorating arts organization.
Please consider a donation to this fund and to the memory of Deanne Binde. You may visit www.newworldarts.org to donate online, bring a donation to the upcoming 24/7 Play Festival or mail a check to:

Live Concert Series
Saturday September 20th 8:00 p.m.
Featuring Venetia Sekema
Come enjoy cheesecake and coffee while listening to the blues/soul style of Venitia Sekema. Her newest CD “Hell on High Heels” released on May of 2007 garnering her praise as a sexy songwriter.
“Those who’ve seen her perform know that she can do blues, but with ‘Hell on High Hells’ she takes that side of her sound and runs with it,” The Tibune.
Venitia has been steadily winning over audiences around the Midwest with her straight forward and passionate lyrics that express love, urgency, and the importance of justice in the world.
“Music has always been a part of my life as well as the need to express it. Actually, I think I may have sung my first word instead of spoken it,” says Sekema.
Tickets: $15 General Admission, $10 students/seniors
Reservations recommended by calling 574-975-0311.
